  • Flange Bolts

    (0)

We offer a wide range of metal bolts and studs. What is the difference between screws and bolts?

Bolts can be described as long shafts with a distinct head on one side. These are generally partially threaded. A fully threaded bolt is referred to as a screw.

    Flange Bolts

Flange bolts, also called Hex Flange Screws, are a special type of bolt which have a flange below its head. They look like a bolt with a washer attached to the head.

The flange provides a more even distribution of the load. Flange bolts eliminate the need to use a washer giving higher flexibility in a wide range of operations.

    Standard – DIN 6921.

Materials – Mild Steel and Stainless Steel.

    CROSS RECESSED MACHINE SCREWS

The Phillips screw drive (specified as an ANSI Type I Cross Recess and type H in ISO documentation) is among the most popular drive style for screws.

Cross recess H (Phillips) according to ISO 4757 has a conventional cruciform recess with all walls inclined, the end of the screwdriver having trapezoid webs.

The general dimensions are given in the product information of the respective catalogue group.

The design is often criticized for its tendency to cam out at lower torque levels than other “cross head” designs.

    Head Style

    Pan Phillips

The pan head is cylindrical head with a slightly rounded top surface and a flat bearing surface underneath. This head style is ideal for most applications where a protruding head is acceptable.

  • SEMS Screws Pan Phillips

    SEMS SCREWS

SEMS Screws are screws pre-assembled with free spinning washers. The assembly typically contains one plain washer and one split spring washer.

The washers are held in place with the major diameter of the thread being larger than the hole of the washer. This is achieved by inserting the washers before thread rolling.

SEMS screws provide design and manufacturing efficiencies by combining multiple parts, captive washer and screw, into one versatile fastener.

This has many benefits which have revolutionised assembly manufacturing processes, particularly in the Aerospace Avionics sector.

    Advantages

    – Increased productivity by eliminating hand assembly of washers with the screws.
    – Permanent assembly ensuring that the washers are not misplaced.
    – Safety for the product as there is no chance of a washer being dropped into the assembly.

    – One part to inventory, track and assemble.

SEMS screws work well in products with small dimensions, allowing for seamless integration and assembly with a lower risk of error or failure.

Available in Stainless Steel AISI 304 A2.

  • Ultra Low Profile Metric Screws

    (0)

Our JCSlim range of Ultra-thin head screw are up to 77% thinner than conventional pan head which makes possible flat external surface and contributes low-profile design and weight saving.

These screws feature a reliable TORX drive that facilitates more reliable installation and support smaller and lighter design.

With the miniaturisation of a large number of products, this has become an invaluable addition to the range of screws. With a flattened fastening face, this supports layers of parts.

The Hexalobular Torx drive provides a slip-less and easy fixing. Stainless Steel provides long life and corrosion resistance.

    Applications:

-For flat surface design without head edge
    -For smooth appearance design

In installation where the part does not permit deep enough holes to make a countersunk.

The large diameter heads of the low-profile screws have been engineered to spread the load across a wide surface to provide greater holding power in thinner material applications. These offer a sleek, unobtrusive and polished finish for any design.

Saves space and permits flexible design, especially in weight and space sensitive applications such as drones, electric scooters, aerospace and medical equipment.

  • Ultra Low Profile Metric Screws with Narrow Heads

    (0)

These are available with a special Narrow Head.

The smaller head enables greater weight and space saving.

Available in Stainless Steel AISI 304 grade
    Sizes: M2.5 to M4

Also available in Black Coated Finish on request

This finish is very useful in reducing light reflection from parts and providing an integrated finish to black coloured products and parts.

These screws have a permanent black colour with exceptional strength and elasticity that does not chip, peel, craze, or rub off and provides good resistance to wear and abrasion.

Our JCSlim range of Ultra-thin head screw are up to 77% thinner than conventional pan head which makes possible flat external surface and contributes low-profile design and weight saving.

    Usage Guidelines

    • Always keep the tightening torque within the recommended torque range. This will prevent screw and joint failure. Consult the product datasheet for details. Using a torque enabled driver is recommended.
    • Check tapped hole with thread plug gauge before assembly to ensure perfect installation.
    • Use a good quality Hexalobular bit and check that there is no excessive play before applying torque.

  • Tri-Lobe Thread Forming PAN Screws

    (0)

Thread-rolling screws form their nut threads themselves when they are screwed into precut holes. This not only saves assembly and production costs, but also creates stable and secure connections.

In contrast to thread cutting, the material structure in the mating thread is not interrupted when threading, but compressed and strain hardened.

The nut threads are automatically formed in cast blind holes, passages or in drilled, lasered or punched sheet metal parts. Especially suitable for materials such as steel, aluminium, brass or copper.

A tri-lobe thread forming screw forms a thread with a machine screw’s thread pitch.

As each lobe of the screw moves through the pilot hole in the nut material, it forms and work hardens the nut thread metal, producing an uninterrupted grain flow.

For use in drilled, punched or cored holes in ductile metals and punch extruded metals without the need for tapping the material thread.

The tri-lobe thread shape enables the threads to form the internal thread. The screw is designed with a tapered point or commonly referred to as lead threads.

The tapered point allows for lower installation torque during initial thread forming. The tri-lobe shape is key to allowing the remaining threads to form threads with the lowest amount of installation torque.

One important thing to note when determining screw length is that the tapered portion of the thread cannot be fully loaded and should not be used to calculate proper screw length.
